About ASCS
The Arizona Society of Cosmetic Surgery, a chapter of AACS, was founded in 1999 at the AACS meeting in New Orleans. Five cosmetic surgeons felt a need for a state wide organization which stressed education, safety, and legislative monitoring. The AACS is the only medical organization that actively supports all disciplines and specialties of cosmetic surgery, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, general surgery, obstetrician/gynecologist, otolaryngology and dermatology.
Cosmetic surgery brings limitless possibilities. Each year, new treatments and procedures are introduced and more and more people discover the possibilities. Safer and more effective treatments have led to the dramatic growth in cosmetic surgery, and non-invasive procedures have fueled exponential growth.
